Stephen Miller is scary-movie creepy.
He looks and acts like a villain, but the kind that should’ve been taken out in the first 10 minutes, if not long before the sequel. Alas, as Trump’s policy advisor, he’s the goblin behind the most cruel and xenophobic ideas in modern U.S. history. Family separation? That was his baby. The Muslim ban? His too. He’s basically the MAGA regime’s cruelty consultant.
So why does trump regularly call him Weird Stephen?
Turns out, even among the worst people in the world, some are still too off-putting for the others.
Make no mistake: there’s nothing funny about Miller’s deportation schemes or dehumanizing ICE raids. This is serious, fascist stuff. But watching him promote authoritarianism with a monotone voice and zero human affect is like watching a low-budget horror film — except, of course, that this villain is real. And he means it.
But villains always fall. And hearing him get called weird by a guy literally convicted of 34 felonies? That’s a small, weird balm on two of the hemorrhoids currently squatting in the Oval Office.
And the chaos doesn’t end there. Apparently, Weird Stephen is the one who leaked the ketamine dirt on Elon Musk. Why? Maybe because the MAGA Orange-archy only has room for one FascBoy at a time, and Miller’s dream of being trump’s favorite White-nationalist wind-up doll is slipping away.
