The Supreme Court appears ready to gut what’s left of the Voting Rights Act — the law born from blood, courage, and unrelenting hope that America could someday be fair.

The VRA worked. It was one of the few laws that actually bent history toward justice — ending literacy tests, fighting lynchings, forcing states to stop silencing Black, brown, & Indigenous voices. It made real democracy possible for millions who had been terrorized out of it.

And now, an extremist Supreme Court is about to drag us backward, erasing the very tools that protected equality in the first place. If the Voting Rights Act falls, it will become nearly impossible to challenge the racist maps and systems designed to keep white power in charge.

The MAGA-lytes will call it “fairness.” They’ll say it’s “constitutional.” But we all know what it really is. It’s a return to the same old American nightmare that existed prior to the VRA

White America, ask yourself: why would a Supreme Court, a president, or anyone who claims to love democracy and freedom fight this hard to keep non-white Americans from voting?

The answer isn’t hidden. It’s homegrown American racism, and we are running out of time to stop it.
